Oka Won Runner-up in Pitch Per-Fact

Pitch Per-Fact, an Indonesian Student Pitch Competition, is a competition for all undergraduate students throughout Indonesia. The competition aims to show students’ skills in public speaking, critical thinking and innovation.

Each student from various fields of study are able to participate by submit an abstract containing background, methods and research results as well as a short video with a maximum duration of 3 minutes. In the video, students must be able to present their research and innovative creative ideas in English.

The assessment is carried out by a jury consisting of experts in their fields from various universities. Judging starts from the time the video is uploaded to the youtube channel until the top 10 finalists are obtained.

Furthermore, in the final round which be held online on Saturday, October 16, 2021, all finalists were tested by the jury on the content or research they present in the video. Assessment includes comprehension and content; engagement and communication.

In the competition, Muhammad Oka Ramadhan (class of 2018), a student of Agroindustrial Technology Education Study Program, won runner-up with his research title: Anthocyanins from Agro-waste as Time-Temperature Indicator to Monitor Freshness of Fish Products. Congratulations Oka. Hopefully it will inspire other students.
