Lecturers and students of Agro-industrial Technology Education Study Program, conducted community service in Karangtawang, Kuningan, West Java. It was held in the meeting hall Karangtawang, Kuningan on Saturday, October 16, 2021. It also was broadcast live via youtube channel of agroindustri upi and zoom platform.
Head of Study Program, Dr. Yatti Sugiarti, M.P., said in his speech that this activity is one of implementation of the tridharma of higher education. Hopefully it can provide many benefits for the community. This received a very good response from the headman of Karangtawang and was appreciated the head of Kuningan sub-district. They expressed their gratitude to UPI lecturers and students who have been willing to share their knowledge and experiences with the citizens.
The program, which runs from morning to afternoon, presents 3 presenters who are lecturers and alumni who is entrepreneur. The first presenter was Dwi Lestari Rahayu, S.TP., M.Si., who conveyed the entrepreneurial development of melinjo peel by-products. The second was Sari Nurmayani, S.Pd., M.Si., with business model canvas for business development of melinjo peel by-products. The third was Farhan Rohmat, S.T., M.Sc. which conveys marketing strategies for micro, small and medium enterprises.

The participants and invitees who attended, including the head of the rural community empowerment team, and micro-entrepreneurs, were very enthusiastic about participating in the event. Hopefully this program can contribute to the empowerment of rural communities.
